Villa Marina, Siracusa

Just a few miles south from the Unesco town of Siracusa, Villa Marina is a delightful sea-front villa surrounded by luxuriant Mediterranean plants.

The villa fully exploits its wonderful position, with uninterrupted sea views and theatrical sunsets from every room, terrace and angle of the gardens.

As if this wasn’t enough, just beyond the villa are the limpid, translucent waters of the Mediterranean Sea, ready and waiting for you to plunge in and cool off.

On entering the gates of the villa, one is drawn into a lovely mature garden with lawns and colourful oleanders, cactus, banana-trees and palms.

The villa develops all on one level, one enter the house into the main living/dining area, with fireplace and sitting-room made out of reed, and open kitchen with patio doors out to the front and rear terraces.

Next to the living room is a bathroom with shower and the three double bedrooms with access to the rear terrace.

Most of your time will probably be spent on the fully-furnished terraces surrounding the house. The outdoor dining areas, complete with barbecue, are ideal for long lazy lunches or atmospheric moonlit dinners.

Surrounding this little oasis of shade is the large garden, complete with lawns extending towards a group of rocks from where you will be able to take a refreshing dip to cool off from the summer heat.
