The Association of British Travel Organisers to Italy was founded in January 2005 and has more than 75 members to date.  The broad range of members cover the full spectrum of travel services to Italy from rail travel and tours, to skiing holidays and escorted group tours, to a variety of specialist tour operators and more.  It enjoys the full support of the Italian Tourist Board with whom a close working relationship has naturally been established.

The ultimate aim is to raise the profile of Italy as a holiday destination and to generate increased business for all its members. ABTOI are able to access and widen the large number of marketing opportunities which normally would be difficult for many companies to engage in due to a number of reasons.

ABTOI’s recent major investment and main marketing tool is the launch of its own website, consumer branded LoveItaly.  Offering ‘Everything Under One Roof’ online, the consumer is able to search for specific activities, look up regional information and locate the ideal holiday partner with whom they can book.  It will be constantly enhanced, optimised and upgraded with new and better information.

The LoveItaly website has a Press Area which enables journalists to access or request any information they may require.  The Members Area is flexible, allowing a variety of opportunities to evolve.

ABTOI has made it viable for companies large and small to participate in an ongoing mixture of marketing and PR activities.  It is proud to have created a network of travel industry professionals who participate in and share the common goal of highlighting the diversity and wonders of Italy.
